Installing MATLAB
MATLAB is a programming language and numerical computing environment used in engineering, science, and finance. It allows users to perform a wide range of mathematical operations, create and run simulations, and visualize and analyze data. MATLAB is often used in academic and industrial research, and in the development of control systems and algorithms.

Creating a MathWorks Account
Step 1: Go to https://www.mathworks.com/login Select Create one! then select Next
Step 2: Enter your full Stevens email address, first and last name, and select Continue
Step 3: You will receive a confirmation email to your Stevens Email address Click Verify email
Step 4: The link will take you to the Mathworks website which will confirm your new account is activated
Install MATLAB on Windows
Step 1: Go to https://software.stevens.edu select Windows software on the top bar, search for open your desired version of Matlab and click Download
Step 2: A pop-up will appear. Click Save File to save the zipped file. Navigate to your Downloads folder, extract the contents and double click matlab_R2021b_win64.exe to begin the installation process
Step 3: Log in (your email should be your full username@stevens.edu address) and select Next
Step 4: Accept the terms of the license agreement by selecting Yes and select Next
Step 5: Select Licenses and select Next
Step 6: Leave the installation location as the default unless you need to install to a specific folder, select Next
Step 7: Leave the product selection as the default unless you need to install specific products, select Next
Step 8: If you would like to have MATLAB shortcut on your desktop, select Desktop, select Next
Step 9: Press Begin Install to confirm MATLAB installation
Install MATLAB on MacOS
Step 1: Go to https://software.stevens.edu, select Mac software on the top bar, search for and click on the folder Matlab2023a
Step 2: Double click the file matlab_R2023a_maci64.dmg; a zip folder will be downloaded to your system
Step 3: Navigate to your Downloads folder, extract the contents and double click matlab_R2023a_maci64.dmg to begin the installation process
Step 4: Once selected Matlab installer may may be prompt for your system credentials. Enter the username and password for your device to unlock your system
Step 5: The MathWorks Installer will open. Select Log in with a MathWorks Account and select Next
Step 6: Click on Yes under Do you accept the terms of the license agreement and then select Next
Step 7: Select your license and select Next
Step 8: Check the products from the list you want to download and select Next and Install
Step 9: The installation will begin
Step 10: Click on Finish to complete the installation
