Installing MathType
MathType is a software tool used for creating and editing mathematical equations and symbols in various applications, such as Microsoft Word and Google Docs. It offers a range of symbols and templates for various mathematical notations and equations. If you frequently work with mathematical expressions and equations, you might find MathType useful.

Windows
Step 1: Go to software.stevens.edu and select Windows Software from the top banner. Scroll down or search MathType, select the MathType folder and click Download
Step 2: Navigate to your Downloads folder, click on the MathType folder, and select Extract All
Step 3: Make sure all of your Microsoft Office windows are closed, then double-click MathType-win-en-7.4.10.53 to start the installation process. Accept the license terms and click Next
Step 4: Click on I Agree
Step 5: Set a Destination folder and click on OK and wait for the installation to complete
Step 6: Open the MathType application and activate the license using the license key you extracted along with the set-up File. Click on Enter a Product Key
Step 7: Enter your name, Stevens Email, and Product key and click on Activate to Activate the license
MacOS
Step 1: Go to software.stevens.edu and select Mac Software from the top banner. Scroll down or search MathType
Step 2: In the MathType folder, select the MathType version specified by your professor and click Download on the top banner
Step 3: Navigate to your Downloads folder, open the MathType folder, and double click the MathType .pkg to start the installation process
Step 4: The installer will open. Click Continue
Step 5: Read the License Agreement and click Continue
Step 6: Click Install
Step 7: Once you receive the notification that the installation was successful, click Close
