Procurement: View My Requisitions and Purchase Orders in Workday
This user guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to view your requisitions and purchase orders (POs) in Workday. Whether you’re checking the status of a recent request, reviewing order details, or confirming delivery and invoicing, this guide will help you navigate the relevant Workday features with ease.
Designed for employees who create or manage purchase requests, this guide aims to ensure transparency and efficiency in your procurement process. By following the outlined procedures, you’ll gain real-time visibility into your requisitions and purchase orders, helping you stay informed and in control of your purchasing activities.
View My Requisitions and POs
Step 1: From the Workday Search Bar, enter Create Receipt and select the task. The Create Requisition screen displays.

Step 2: On the My Requisitions home screen, enter information for the following fields:

Company– The organization or legal entity making the purchase.
- Please note that SIT Stevens Institute of Technology will auto populate in this field unless manually changed.

Requisition – The internal request for goods or services.

Status – The current state of the requisition (e.g., Draft, Successfully Completed, Canceled, Closed, Denied, or In Progress).

Requisition Type – The category or purpose of the requisition (e.g., Animal, Blanket Order, Capital Assets, Capital Projects, Computer Hardware & Software, Emergency, Gases / Chemicals, General, Leases / Rentals – Long Term (greater than 12 months), Leases / Rentals – Short Term (less than 12 months), Leases / Rentals – Supplier Contract (Finance Use Only), Prepaids (greater than $5k), Radioactive, or Research Subawards.

Requesting Inventory Site – The location requesting the items (e.g., warehouse or office).

Document Date On or After – Filter for requisitions submitted on or after this date.

Document Date On or Before – Filter for requisitions submitted on or before this date.

Supplier – The vendor or provider from whom goods/services are requested.

Spend Category – Classification of the type of expense (e.g., IT equipment, office supplies).

Item – The specific product or service being requested.

Project – The project to which the requisition is charged, if applicable.

Purchase Order – The formal order issued to the supplier based on the requisition.
- Exclude Canceled
- Exclude Closed
- Include Job Requisitions
- Results in Requisitions Worklet

Step 3: After you have entered all information click OK.

Step 4: Review all requisitions and their status under the Procurement Requisitions section.
